Outdoor Ethics Orientation Course: October 6

When:    Thursday 10-06-2016 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Where:    Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 2727 Centreville Rd, Herndon, Virginia 20171
Why:    This 90 minute course qualifies Cub Scout adult leaders, Boy Scouts, and Boy Scout adult leaders to lead outdoor ethics activities in their unit.  Participants will receive an overview of the Outdoor Ethics program and be introduced to Leave No Trace and Tread Lightly.  There are hands-on activities.  You will take away references to learn more about outdoor ethics. This course is perfect for Scouts that are or want to be their unit's Outdoor Ethics Guide (previously the Leave No Trace Trainer), or just want to learn more about outdoor ethics.

You will receive proof of your completion of the course and your training record will be updated to reflect your completion of a Leave No Trace Awareness course. Successful completion of this course satisfies requirement #5 for the Outdoor Ethics Awareness Award:

"Participate in an outdoor ethics course, workshop, or training activity facilitated by a person who has completed the BSA outdoor ethics orientation course or is a BSA outdoor ethics trainer or master."
