Good afternoon,

My name is Elliott Davis, and I am a Senior at Wootton High School and the Sustainability Intern at the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection.

I want to provide Boy Scouts of America's National Capital Area Council Seneca District information on the Montgomery County GreenFest (Environmental Festival) this Saturday, April 30th from 11am to 4pm at the Takoma Park Community Center.
Student activities at GreenFest includes
- The GreenFest Games: Sustainability Social Media Scavenger Hunt
- High School Extravaganza: High School Student Environmental Awareness and Leadership Session (1:30pm-2:30pm in the Teen Room)
- Giveaway and raffle prizes provided by Ben & Jerry's, NatureBridge, Nissan, Montgomery County Dept. of Transportation, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission
- Inspirational Speakers including EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy
- Sustainability Workshops, Electric Car Show, Vendors, and Exhibitors
I am in charge of student outreach for the event, and would love for as many Boy Scouts as possible to attend. After researching the various Boy Scout badges, I realized that attending GreenFest could potentially help satisfy one of the environment related badges, which could be a great opportunity for Scouts. I believe your mission of preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes aligns well with the goal of GreenFest for participants to find their path to a greener life.

I would really appreciate you sharing the attached GreenFest Student Flyer or the PDF download at on your email distribution list, on your website, and discussing the event at any meetings this week. Please also share the GreenFest Facebook event link:

Please encourage Boy Scouts to fill out the following form to express interest in attending:

Thank you very much. Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide to help you advertise this event.
