Cub Scout Family Fun Days - Rocket to Adventure! Oct 8 or Oct 9

Come launch your new Rocket at any of the Launch Days. There are many locations in the area and you can sign up for any of them.

More than Rockets!– Come out to experience many other activities for the day including an Agility Course, Punt/Pass/Kick, Fishing Casting practice, and a Scavenger Hunt. If you did not build your rocket, we will also have a Rocket Building station too!

10/8 and 10/9

Date:              Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9, 2016. Attend either day! Pre-registration is encouraged. There will be a VERY limited number of extra rockets and engines available for sale at the event. The first 200 Scouts each day will earn a patch for completing their passport!

Time:             1 pm to 5 pm

Location:      Mt. Prospect Farm, just north of the corner of Turkey Foot and Travila Road, Gaithersburg, MD. GPS coordinates: 39.08051, -77.25648. Map here:

Who:              Open to new and currently registered Cub Scouts and their family. Siblings must be Cub Scout age and older to participate in activities. Adults are welcome to participate as well. Not a scout? No problem! Join the fun and participate to see what it’s like to be a Cub Scout. Staff will be on hand to find your Cub Scout Pack! Fill out an application to join Scouts!

Cost:              $10 per person. Price includes first rocket engine for new scouts. Must purchase a wristband to participate in activities.

Optional:       Additional rocket kits for family members can be purchased online and built at the event for $5 per person, $8 for extra rocket with engine. Extra engines are $3 each. Note that new Scouts will receive a free rocket kit upon joining Scouts. Note that there will be a very limited number of extra rockets and engines available the day of the event.
